Towing and finished payload
Shark 6 Performance and Triton publish 3,500kg braked towing; Shark Premium is 2,500kg. Triton states up to 1,000kg payload. Confirm Shark's exact NZ payload and calculate remaining capacity after crew, canopy, tools and tow-ball load.
PHEV or diesel at your annual kilometres
Shark's case improves when a large share of kilometres can start charged. Triton avoids charging dependency for remote or irregular work. Use route distance, electricity tariff, petrol/diesel price and towing share; do not publish a universal saving.
Worksite power and body fit
Shark provides V2L for compatible loads. Triton does not offer the same factory PHEV feature, but its cab-chassis range accepts specialised trays and service bodies. Electricians may value V2L; builders carrying permanent heavy fit-outs may value Triton's body options more.
Rural 4WD, warranty and service
Compare Shark AWD with the exact Triton Super Select II grade, plus tyres, low-speed control and recovery points. Add warranty, battery cover, workshop distance, service intervals and replacement transport to the written comparison.
