Can the Shark 6 tow as much as a Ranger?
Shark 6 Performance and suitable Ranger grades publish 3,500kg braked towing. Shark 6 Premium is listed at 2,500kg, and Ranger Raptor also differs from the model-family maximum. Frequent towing demands an exact payload, GCM, cooling and route check—not just a tow-rating match.
Electric kilometres, charging and long days
Shark 6 publishes up to 100km NEDC; Ranger Hybrid publishes 49km NEDC. These are test-cycle figures. Estimate the share of annual kilometres that can start with a charged battery, then price electricity and petrol separately. Long-distance buyers should test refuelling, charging and loaded consumption on their real route.
V2L versus Pro Power Onboard
Both can power equipment, but the systems are not described identically. Shark 6 provides V2L; Ranger Hybrid publishes up to 6.9kW Pro Power Onboard. Electricians and mobile service trades should confirm socket type, continuous output, extension protection and whether the load can run alongside charging or driving needs.
Body choice and complete cost
Shark 6 is a double-cab wellside proposition. Ranger spans single, super and double cabs. Price the suitable body, canopy, charging hardware, servicing, finance or lease and expected downtime; do not claim fuel savings without those inputs.
