Towing, payload and work bodies

Suitable diesel and 48V Hilux grades and Triton grades publish 3,500kg towing. Hilux BEV is 2,000kg and PreRunner 2,900kg. Hilux publishes configuration-specific payloads while Triton states up to 1,000kg; weigh the completed tray, canopy, crew and tools.

Diesel simplicity or electrified choice?

Triton keeps the powertrain decision to its bi-turbo diesel. Hilux offers conventional diesel, 48V-assisted diesel and BEV. The 48V model does not plug in; the BEV needs a route and charging plan. Do not infer operating savings without stated kilometres and energy prices.

Builders, rural users and urban fleets

Hilux body breadth helps specialised trays and service bodies. Triton can be the cleaner shortlist where a conventional diesel configuration already solves the job. Rural buyers should compare 4WD grade, tyres and dealer access; urban fleets should measure route, parking and idle time.
