Payload, tub and service-body fit
Tasman publishes 1,013–1,365kg payload, up to 1,212L VDA tub volume, and current single/double cab-chassis or wellside choices. D-Max publishes 925–1,310kg with its own broad cab/body range. A volume figure cannot replace measuring drawers, compressor, ladders or a pallet footprint.
Towing and combined load
Both families publish 3,500kg braked towing on suitable grades. Confirm GCM, tow-ball load and the remaining vehicle payload at the planned trailer mass, especially with a full crew or permanent canopy.
Rural and urban work
Tasman's broad tub and current safety/equipment proposition may suit mixed site and urban use. D-Max's body range and established work focus may suit rural fleets and specialised fit-outs. Test the same loaded route and access points.
Price, warranty and service network
Tasman's recorded start is $43,690 + ORC and D-Max $54,990 + ORC, but entry configurations differ. Add body, tow equipment and accessories, then compare Kia's 5-year/150,000km programme, Isuzu cover, workshop distance and downtime support.
